What is it about: Probably the biggest Natural Hair event in the UK! In just three years, Natural Hair Week has grown from 700+ attendees to over 5,000 from more than 5 UK cities. Titi’s Curl Natural Hair Workshop, 8th May 2016, Paris France.
What is it about: Bonjour! Get down to Paris for this workshop dedicated to women (and men) who are keen to understand and build a natural hair routine before, during transition or after the big chop. Workshop will be in French, but hey! It’s a good way to start learning!

Oxford Africa Conference, 20 MAY 2016, Oxford UK
What is it about: The Oxford Africa Conference is one of the largest and most globally recognized African conferences of its type, organized by the long-established Oxford Africa Society. African Food Festival UK, 25 June 2016, London UK
What is it about: The African Food festival is a large, family-friendly festival held over 4 weeks throughout the UK ending with a grand event at the Queen Elizabeth park copper box arena, featuring independent vendors selling food merchandise, art and featuring small-scale cultural performances, kids zone and entertainment, all celebrating the rich cultural diversity and heritage of African Food.

What is it about: Raphael Albert documented hundreds of popular beauty pageants and other events in west London’s black community for more than two decades, from the 1960s to the early 80s. Looks like it is going to be a bunch a great shots!

Caribbean Festival 29 – 31 July 2016, Birmingham UK
What is it about: The Caribbean Food and Drinks Festival started in 2011 in response to a desire for Caribbean food to be more widely available to diverse communities in the UK. The festival creates an environment in which Caribbean arts, culture, food and drink, in their various forms, are promoted and made accessible to an increasing proportion of the British population.
