But let us not forget between the pictures and the gorgeous looks why it is so important for our community to come together and express ourselves in these ways. We as black people are still oppressed and even events like #afropunkparis are not free from problems. We need #blackfeminism and we need to hold against colorism. We as black community need to stand tall and together. Us expressing our heritage, culture, roots and creativity is an act of rebellion, of resistance.!
